THE CHURCH'S APPALLING SILENCE ON RACISM

Pastors need to decry racism as a sin from

the pulpit.

On June 17, 2015, a 21-year-old white man,

Dylann Roof, killed nine black people as they

said prayers, sang hymns, and studied the Bible

in a Charleston, South Carolina church. Roof

freely confessed that his motive was frankly

racist. He reportedly said as he was shooting,
